Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight round contest which will be streamed live on Netflix.
Briton Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" the American and "defeat" the American as the combatants confronted each other to build hype for the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Former two time world title holder Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge mismatch - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Boxer's Mentality
"I will injure his face and hurt his body. My goal is to show I'm superior," Joshua, 35, said.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I intend to really want to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."
Respectful Exchange
In spite of these statements, a composed Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually recognized for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul rather attacked ex Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "not serious" after the Cameroonian turned down a match opportunity.
Targeting Fury
Anthony Joshua, at the same time, criticized British rival Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.
"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he's present here," Joshua commented.
"I acknowledge that."
Serious Fighter
Despite stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to talk badly about his rival's boxing ability.
"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.
Paul's History
Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mostly fought MMA fighters or faded names since becoming pro.
He was defeated by British fighter Fury in last year.
Financial Attraction
Still, the novice continues to be one of the sport's largest financial successes, regularly earning massive paydays.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28 year old anticipated a knockout win in round four or five and stated he would stop the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently being planned for two years from now.
"It's going to be my match with Fury next year," Paul stated.
Physical Disparity
As the two fighters met for the usual stare-down, with their height and weight contrast on show, it drove home just how improbable this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is actually going ahead.
